Government Office South West -
Managing Money with SARA
The Crime and Drugs Team at Government Office for the South West are using a
new web based funding system to manage its £12m annual spend across the South
West. The system uses the SARA (Scan, Analyse, Respond and Assess)
problem-solving model to assist Crime and Drug Partnerships across the region
direct resources exactly where most needed.
The system is now used to co-ordinate the work of 66 partnerships across the
South West, and over 800 users and has managed in excess of 4000 projects
across 2 financial years.
The National Assembly for Wales
Crime Reduction in Wales is co-ordinated from 22 Crime Reduction partnerships
and 18 Basic Command Units. The Assembly began implementing FundingProject in
January 2006, and was in full use for the start of the financial year in April
2006. The system has been very well adopted with over 700 projects and £12 in
funding managed. Assembly staff now have a complete and up to date view of all
projects, and consolidated funding/spend summaries for individual partnerships,
or for the whole assembly.
